Rodrigo Soto was born in San José, Costa Rica in 1962. He has been included in the main anthologies of the new Latin American fiction: from McOndo (Mondadori, 1996) to Little Resistances (Pages of foam, 2004), through Airlines (Language of Rag, 1999). He is considered one of the renovators, along with names like Horacio Castellanos Moya, Carlos Cortés and Rodrigo Rey Rosa, from the Central American narrative, and is the author of a demanding work in prose and verse. He has published, among other books, the novels The Spider's Strategy (1985), Mundicia (1992) and The Abolished Tower (1994), and in Flying as an Angel (2007) he anthologized his best stories. In 2006, Periférica published, with great critical success, Gina, a short novel that was part of the series "Figures in the mirror", of which this same publisher will offer other texts in the future.
