Catherine Colliot-Thélène, born in Quimper in 1950, is a French philosopher, best known for her research on the thought of the German sociologist Max Weber.
His field of research is political philosophy and its relation to the philosophy of history and sociology.
She is a professor at the University of Rennes I.
Since 2010, she has been a member of the Institut universitaire de France.
From 1999 to 2004, Catherine Colliot-Thélène held the position of Director of the Marc Bloch2 Center (Franco-German research center in the human sciences) in Berlin.
