Born in 1983 (Guadalajara, Spain), Jorge Polo Blanco holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid. He currently works as a teacher and researcher at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (Ecuador), where he teaches, among others, the subject Theory of Culture. He has previously published two books: Postmodern Profiles. Some derives from contemporary thinking (2010) and Tyrannical Economics. Commodified society, financial dictatorship and popular sovereignty (2015). His main line of research has been modern and contemporary political philosophy, but he has also published works in specialized scientific journals on indigenism, extractivism and nature rights, decolonial theory, populism, feminism or political economy.
