The first volume presents a general introduction, the Old Kingdom and legal texts. In the second, of the Middle and New Kingdom and those referring to the Greeks. The authors, Alberto Bernabé and Juan Antonio Álvarez-Pedrosa, professors at the Complutense University and members of the Center for Near East Studies, have tried to make the book accessible to the non-specialist reader interested in the Middle East.
