For almost three years we built a collective biography, armed with activism and social action. This book contains photographic portraits, writings and testimonies of trans, transvestite and non-binary children, youth and adults -among other denominations- from very diverse origins. It is worth highlighting the Fundación Selenna school, a valuable and unique educational project, whose managers, relatives of trans children and young people, generously opened their space to us. Likewise, Transitar, which was the first group of trans children and youth in Chile, showed us an urgent, local and popular childhood, components that allowed us to go out into the world like never before. The final chapter deals with a work process with transvestites who live on the street and of which our project was a constituent part. With Acción Travesti en Calle we have been working these last three years in the free fairs around La Vega. The marches still do not go through those alleys where there is such a need. Our project ends with a public policy that modifies street work in this area, with a transvestite kiosk, with the desire to open a hostel and have its own space. Perhaps the key to that sign that has always been in the form of a vestige of the past, a code of the present or a sign to be deciphered, is permanence. Keep building. Stay on the street. Where to go after leaving? How to do justice for our friends and colleagues who died? From where do we build a path for all those who will come?
