Slawomir Mrozek (Borzecin, Poland, 1930) studied architecture, art history and oriental culture. Before becoming known as a writer, he had some success as a journalist and satirist. As of 1957, his literary career unfolds into two facets, that of a dramatic author—which has earned him universal recognition and extraordinary popular success—and that of a narrator. Cliff undertook since 2001 the publication of his narrative work. His books include Game of Chance (Cliff, 2001), The Difficult Life (Cliff, 2002), Two Letters (Cliff, 2003), The Tree (Cliff, 2003), Little Summer (Cliff, 2004), The Fly ( Cliff, 2005), Flight to the South (Cliff, 2008) and The Elephant (Cliff, 2010).
