Yong Chen. Bachelor of Chinese Language and Literature from Renmin University of China, Master and Doctor of Religion from Vanderbit University. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), Level I and currently teaches at El Colegio de México. His main lines of research are: Classical Chinese; Chinese Philosophy; The Revival of Confucianism as a Living Tradition in China; The Religion of Confucius in Indonesia and Popular Confucianism in Chinese Communities. He has been the author of various books, including Confucianism as Religion: Controversies and Consequences and Is Confucianism a religion?: the controversy over Confucian religiosity, its meaning and transcendence.
