We present to you the new commemorative edition 50 years of I was in Avandaro, the book that portrays what happened on September 11, 1971, the day that marked one of the most decisive moments in the history of rock in Mexico. I was in Avándaro is the first published book that addressed the theme of the festival that became a commercial and cultural point of reference for the Jipiteca generation, which since then has been identified by its way of dressing, speaking, and working. Many crafts developed in parallel and industries around rock proliferated. Thanks to Avándaro, rock culture spread more and more and expanded its forms of cultural expression, which is why the premise "rock is culture" has been defended.
