From William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin they took note not only of their theories on social control, but also of the techniques they devised to short-circuit those conditionings. And at the center of all these appropriations, the most fundamental of all: a rereading of the modern currents of practical magic, particularly Chaos Magic. The result was an underground network of individuals systematically dedicated to creating their own mind expansion techniques and deprogramming consensus reality.
