Miguel Calderón Chelius. He studied sociology at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. At the José María Luis Mora Institute he obtained the degree of Master in
Regional Studies and has a Doctor in Sociology from El Colegio de México. He has specialized in studies and measurement of poverty and inequality, in development issues, construction of baskets of goods, design and evaluation of public policies and analysis of political processes.
He was Intervention Coordinator at the Center of Behavior and Preventive Medicine at Miriam Hospital and Brown University School of Medicine.
At the Mexican Foundation for Rural Development, he directed the Diploma in Regional Development and participated in projects in Mexican states such as Sinaloa, Sonora, Guerrero and Jalisco.
At the Legislative Research Institute of the Senate of the Republic he collaborated in the Coordination of Situation Studies.
In the Council for the Evaluation of Social Development of the Federal District (EVALÚA DF) he was Coordinator of Registration and Measurement and coordinated, together with Dr. Julio Boltvinik, the Project for the Measurement of Poverty and Inequality in Mexico City .
He has participated in various research at UNAM, El Colegio de México, FLACSO México, Brown University, Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla and ECLAC.
He is currently Coordinator of Political Science and Public Administration at the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, and collaborates as a consultant for ECLAC. Likewise, he coordinates the Salary Observatory of the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla and is part of the Social Debt Observatory of Latin America and the AUSJAL Poverty Network.
