Sonia Hernández was born in Terrassa in 1976. She published her first book of poems in 2006, La casa del mar, which was followed in 2010 by Los nombre del tiempo. As a narrator, she has published the short story books The Erroneous Patients (2008) and The Propagation of Silence (2013), as well as the novels The Woman of Rapallo, in 2010 – the same year that the prestigious British magazine Granta included her in its selection of the best young narrators in Spanish–, and Los Pissimboni, published by Acantilado in 2015. He is a member of the Literary Exile Studies Group (GEXEL), within which he has developed various research works on Max Aub or, more recently Vicente Rojo. As a journalist, she is a regular contributor to the supplement Cultura/s, of the Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia.
