
Given the Anthropocene's close connection to an apocalyptic narrative, which conveys a widespread escapist belief that heralds salvation, whether through the advent of a supernatural place or the transfer to other planets, Joanna Zylinska presents a different vision. The End of Man reframes the prophecy of the end of humans, interrogating the rise of populism worldwide and offering an ethical vision of a "feminist counter-apocalypse" that challenges many of the masculinist and technocratic solutions to the various planetary crises.
