Next stop: the outskirts. Annotations, samples, paratexts is a book about looking back. It's about looking back and interrogating those reading scenes interrupted by, at first, a paralyzing influence, which then, stealthily but gradually, channeled fascinations with minor forms, peripheral materials, or objects. In this book, the author brings together five reflections he has written in recent years on these forms, materials, or objects. These pages bring together the annotations, the turnstile, the typos, the paratexts, and the back-and-forth readings on the Valparaíso-San Fernando route, along with a reflection on reading in motion.
