Caitlin Rebekah Kiernan (born May 26, 1964) is a writer of horror, science fiction and dark fantasy, born in Ireland and nationalized American. She is the author of ten novels, numerous comics, more than two hundred stories, several short novels, and prints or vignettes. She is also the author of several scientific works in the field of paleontology. Kiernan has earned a reputation as one of the most prominent authors of contemporary macabre fiction.
