Carlos Pacheco

Born in Caracas. A researcher, essayist and literary critic, he obtained his PhD from King's College, University of London. He is a tenured professor at the Simón Bolívar University, where he has been Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Literature and Dean of Postgraduate Studies. PPI level III researcher, he is dedicated in particular to the study of contemporary Latin American narrative and narrative theory. He has been visiting professor at Brown University (Providence, RI), the University of Salamanca, and Rice University (Houston). He has been a jury member for the Rómulo Gallegos Award and the Pegasus Novel Award, among others.
