The Adventures of Pinocchio is undoubtedly the best-known work of the Italian writer Carlo Collodi (1826-1890), and one of the most famous children's books in the world. It first appeared in 1881, and two years later was published in book form. The book tells the story of Pinocchio, a wooden doll that goes through different trials in which he has to decide between good and evil, and who finally becomes a child of flesh and blood.
