Adam Hochschild

Adam Hochschild - (New York, 1942) is a writer, journalist, historian and university professor. Graduated in History and Literature from Harvard University, he has worked for the American Civil Rights Movement and has collaborated in media such as The New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, The New York Review of Books, The New York Times Magazine or The Nation. He has also been a commentator on National Public Radio and has participated in movements against the Vietnam War. After publishing several books and a collection of essays, he wrote The Ghost of King Leopold, with which he won the Duff Cooper Award and was a finalist in the National Book Critics Circle Award. In 2012, his work was awarded by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
