Adrian Sutton is Director of the Squiggle Foundation, Honorary Senior Professor at Manchester Medical School, University of Manchester, UK, and Visiting Professor of Psychiatry at Gulu University Medical School, Uganda. He worked as a psychotherapist from 2009 to 2016 at the Winnicott Centre with children and their families. Previously, he was Director at Manchester Medical School, heading the Department of Ethics Studies, and a member of the Ethics Research Committee from 1999 to 2009. His interests have always been linked to clinical practice from a psychodynamic perspective, medical training, and research on the effects of healthcare systems on healthcare professionals. His publications in journals and book chapters consistently highlight a reflection on care and what this means when caring for children or adolescents suffering from serious illnesses. This translation brings into circulation in Spanish his book published in English in 2013, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis.
