Agustí Bartra

Agustí Bartra i Lleonart (November 8 Barcelona, 1908- July 7 Tarrasa 1982) was a Spanish poet, translator and prose writer. Descendant of a peasant family, he spends part of his childhood in Sabadell. When his family returns to Barcelona, he enters to work in a textile company. In 1934 he won a literary contest and soon after he began collaborating with Amic and Meridià.

His first books are the collection of short stories L'oasi perdut (1937) and the poetry collection Cant corporal (1938)
