Agustín Blánquez

Blánquez Agustin Fraile (Valladolid, 1883 - Barcelona, 1965), Doctor of Philosophy from the Central University and a law degree, he held various positions of archivist and librarian at major institutions, and displayed his rare erudition especially in the field of languages Greek and Latin. His most famous work is undoubtedly the dictionary, but also published books on geography and Spanish and world history and outstanding translations of Greek and Latin authors, as Sophocles, Thucydides, Cicero and Vitruvius.
