Alejandro Arteaga [Lucio Alejandro Herrera Arteaga] is a Mexican narrator, essayist, and publisher. He studied Hispanic Language and Literatures at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters ffyl (unam). He was a fellow of the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas flm in the narrative area 2006-2008. With a novel written in collaboration with Alfonso Nava, he received the 2016 Sergio Galindo Latin American First Novel Prize. In 2018, he received the XIII Ignacio Manuel Altamirano National Novel Prize and, in 2019, the Edmundo Valadés Fine Arts Minification Award.
