Alejandro Sheseña

Alejandro Sheseña earned his PhD in History from Voronezh State University, Russia, in 2002, in collaboration with the Yuri Knorozov Center for Mesoamerican Studies in Moscow. He has authored five books, 80 specialized articles, and translated six works from Russian into Spanish, among other publications. He is the founder of the undergraduate and graduate programs in History at the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas. He was awarded the 2016 INAH Alfonso Caso National Prize for the best published research in archaeology.
