Anatole Le Braz

Anatole Le Braz (Saint-Servais, Côtes d'Armor 1859 - Menton, 1926) was a French writer in Breton language.

He learned Breton in Ploumilliau and later taught at the institute Quimper, where he contacted the folklorist François-Marie Luzel. He contributed to the magazine L'Hermine (1889) and Feiz is Breizh. In 1898 he collaborates in the creation of the Keuredigezh Broadel Breizh (National Society of Britain) and in 1911 in the Breton Regionalist Union. He was a friend of Francis Gourvil and was a professor at the University of Rennes from 1901 to 1924.
