Andrés Felipe Solano, born in Bogotá in 1977, is the author of the novels Sálvame, Joe Louis (2007), Los hermanos Cuervo (2013), and Cementerios de nocturno (2016), as well as the non-fiction books Salario mínima, vivir con nada (2015), Corea: apuntes desde la Cuerda Floja (2015), which received the Biblioteca de Narrativa Colombiana Prize and was a finalist for the Bucheon Diaspora Literary Award in 2021, and Los días de la fiebre (2020). In 2010, the English magazine Granta chose him as one of the 22 best young storytellers in Spanish. He has published articles and short stories in The New York Times Magazine, McSweeney’s, Granta, and Gatopardo, among others. In 2020, he was invited to participate in the 10th Busan Art Biennial. He has lived in Seoul for a decade.
