Andrés Rivadulla Rodriguez

He is Professor of Philosophy of Science at the Complutense University of Madrid. His career includes extensive periods of research in foreign universities such as Cologne, Frankfurt (as a researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) and the LSE in London. His dedication to the theory of science covers the general philosophy of science and epistemology, history and philosophy of probability and mathematical statistics, and philosophy and history of theoretical physics. His many publications are spread between Spanish and international journals, among which Erkenntnis, The British Journal for the Philosophy of Science, and Synthese, as well as national and foreign collective works. He is co-editor of Current Perspectives in Logic and Philosophy of Science (1994), Quantum Physics and Reality / Quantum Physics and Reality (2002), and editor of Truth in Science and Hypothesis. Essays on the philosophy of Karl Popper. He is the author of Current Philosophy of Science (1986) and Probability and Scientific Inference (1991). This Editorial has published Success, reason and change in physics (2004) and Revolutions in Physics (2003).
