Angel Dario Carrero

It is one of the leading writers of the eighties generation Caribbean. Among his books published by the same Editorial his poems are: water Flame (2001, foreword by Luce López-Baralt) and Chased by the Light (2008). He also coordinated the critical edition of Song of madness, the poet Francisco Matos Paoli (2005). He was co-writer, along with Ivonne Belén, the documentary film Julia, all on me (2002). He edited, with writer Mayra Santos-Febres, the anthology of stories in Knock (2011). He edited and was a member, along with Luis Rafael Sánchez, Mayra Montero, Ana Lydia Vega, Edgardo Rodríguez Juliá and Magali Garcia Ramis, journalistic essays book our Country. Current Puerto Rican Chronicles (2012). His texts were the basis for the exhibition The Language of the Birds of the abstract artists residing in New York, Ivelisse Jimenez and Fernando Colón (Museum of Contemporary Art, 2008). The book artist Consuelo Gotay was based on his poems to his latest work: Just so you know (2011). His poetry has been set to music and performed by singers Nydia Caro, Danny Rivera and Tony Croatto. He was recently awarded the National Prize of Journalism Bolívar Pagán Institute of Puerto Rican Literature for his interviews with figures in international cultural field. It is resident theologian of the Graduate School of Theology (CEDOC) Central University of Puerto Rico. He is a regular columnist and Editorial Board member of the main Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Dia.
