Ángel Herrerín López

Ángel Herrerín López is a doctor in History and a tenured professor in the Department of Contemporary History at UNED. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Minnesota (United States) in 2005 and 2010. His research work has focused on anarchism, Francoism, exile from the Civil War and political violence. It has more than fifty publications between book chapters and articles in national and foreign specialized magazines. Among his monographs, the following stand out: The CNT during the Franco regime. Clandestinidad y exilio (1939-1975) (2004 and 2005) (work with which he was a finalist in the 2006 National History Prize); Money from exile. Indalecio Prieto and the postwar struggles (1939-1947) (2007); and Anarchy, dynamite and social revolution. Violence and repression in the Spain between centuries (1868-1909) (2011); He also participated in the coordination and editing of: The birth of terrorism in the West. Anarchy, nihilism and revolutionary violence (2008).
