Antonio Basanta (Madrid, 1953) is a doctor in Hispanic Literature from the Complutense University of Madrid, has dedicated his entire professional life to the promotion and development of reading from his multiple duties as a teacher, editor, manager of cultural projects, lecturer, writer or author of abundant books that, aimed at the school population, have always had the objective of promoting reading in its most diverse modifications.
For more than twenty-five years he has been CEO of the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation, of which he is currently vice president.
