Antonio Colinas (1946) is a poet, novelist, essayist and translator. His poetry has been collected under the title The river shadow. Thirty-five years of poetry, 1967-2002. He has written two novels and three books of short stories, as well as some biographical studies Aleixandre, Leopardi or Alberti. Among his essays highlight his Two Treatises of harmony, the first sense of the poetic word, About the new life or inspired thought. In 1982 he received the National Prize for Literature.
