Antonio Roales Ruiz

He has a PhD in Translation from the University of Salamanca and a Degree in Translation and Interpretation (both specialties) from the University of Granada (Spain). Since 1996 he combines the professional practice of translation and interpretation - on his own and as a collaborator with various Spanish and foreign companies - with the university training of translators and interpreters. Teach or teach subjects in the areas of Technologies Applied to Translation and Interpretation, Audiovisual Translation, Conference Interpreting, General Translation and Specialized Translation -among others- in the Bachelor and Degree in Translation and Interpretation of the Center for Higher Studies Felipe II of Aranjuez - UCM, in the respective Bachelor's degrees in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Valladolid (Soria Campus) and Alfonso X el Sabio (Madrid) and in the Degree in Translation and Interpretation from the Faculty of Philology of the Complutense University of Madrid, where he is currently a Contract Doctor Professor. He has also taught several master and postgraduate courses at different universities, such as the Pablo de Olavide University or the Menéndez Pelayo International University. He is one of the creators and teachers of El atril del traductor, a virtual teaching system for translation, carried out under the sponsorship and funding of the Cervantes Virtual Center (http://cvc.cervantes.es/aula/el_atril/). His main lines of research are Technologies applied to Translation and Interpretation, and Audiovisual Translation, on which he has published several books, book chapters and articles in magazines, and has taught numerous seminars and conferences at Spanish, European and American universities. , as well as in various Spanish public bodies. Her mother tongue is Spanish, and her working languages ​​are French, English, Italian and Spanish. It has the designated Sworn Translator-Interpreter (French-Spanish) granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. He is a member of the Autonomous Section of Book Translators of the Spanish Association of Writers.
