Britta Teckenctrup is an internationally successful author and illustrator. She was born in Hamburg and studied at San Martin College and the Royal College of Art in London.

Ella Britta has written and illustrated more than one hundred picture books for children, translated into twenty-five languages. Among her awards we highlight her nomination for the Kate Greenaway twice and her special mention at the Bologna Awards. The Tree of Memories, published by NubeOcho, was a finalist for the Madrid Booksellers Guild Awards.

She lives and works in Berlin with her husband, also an artist, and her son.
