Britta Teckentrup is an internationally successful author and illustrator. She was born in Hamburg and studied at St. Martin's College and the Royal College of Art in London.

Ella Britta has written and illustrated over one hundred children's picture books, translated into twenty-five languages. Among her awards we highlight her nomination for the Kate Greenaway on two occasions and her special mention at the Bologna Awards. She lives and works in Berlin with her husband, also an artist, and her son.
