Bruno Monsaingeon (Paris, 1943) is a film director and writer. A training violinist, the contact with Glenn Gould's work led him to produce and produce musical-themed documentaries, most of them focused on the most notable performers of classical music of the 20th century. He is the author of some of the most famous documentaries about Gould, such as Glenn Gould, the Alchemist (1974); Glenn Gould. The Goldberg Variations (1981) or Glenn Gould, hereafter (2006), as well as several books dedicated to Gould, Sviatoslav Richter and Nadia Boulanger.
