Byung-Chul Han, Korean-born, studied philosophy at the University of Freiburg and German Literature and Theology at the University of Munich. In 1994 he received his doctorate from the first of these universities with a thesis on Martin Heidegger. Currently he is Professor of Philosophy and Cultural Studies at the University of Berlin. He is the author of more than a dozen titles, which has been translated into Castilian, in addition to this book, The Society of fatigue.
