Graduated from the University Center for Cinematographic Studies in 1982, Carlos Mendoza has complemented his training abroad with his participation in various academic activities such as: the Direct Film course taught by Jean Rouch at the University of Nanterre in Paris, France; the workshop for the Teaching of documentary to teachers, at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and in support of his training as a director in the Channel 6 de julio, AC, of the Ashoka Foundation, Innovators for the Public and of the National Video Resources for the production of the documentary Operation Galeana. He is a full-time "C" professor and has the "D" level of the Full-Time Academic Staff Performance Bonus Program. Since 1990 he teaches the subject of Screenwriting and documentary filmmaking at the University Center for Cinematographic Studies and has taught various courses in academic institutions in the country and abroad, such as the University of Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, the Cultural Center of Spain, and the Central American University of Nicaragua.
