Carlos Strasser (born 1936) is an Argentine polytologist. He is a Senior Researcher at CONICET and professor emeritus of FLACSO, where he founded in 1979 the Master's Degree in Social Sciences and has since directed the Master's Degree in Political Science & Sociology. Since 1971 he has taught courses and lectures or participated in congresses and seminars at numerous universities in Argentina and Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Germany and Sweden.

He has published articles in various academic journals in Argentina and other countries as well as opinion columns in the newspapers La Nación y Clarín, in Buenos Aires
