He studied at the Faculty of Law at Harvard University. He worked in the Justice Department of the United States and has been a consultant on law reforms and the drafting of constitutions of many nations-Ukraine, Poland, China, South Africa and Russia, among others. He testified before the Congress of the United States on numerous topics, often have involved environmental protection and risk regulation. He is a professor of jurisprudence at the Faculty of Law and Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago. Cass R. Sunstein is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has received numerous awards for his work. He has authored more than ten books.
