César Cortés Vega

Mexican writer and visual artist. He studied the Master in Visual Arts at the National Autonomous University of Mexico unam and the Diploma in Literary Creation and Creative Writing at the General Society of Writers of Mexico sogem. Coordinates the publishing house Cinocephalon; magazine of criticism and literature. He is editorial director of Telecápita. He is a member of the Group of Research in Art and Environment giae of the postgraduate in Visual Arts of the unam.

Author of three books. Write poetry, novel and essay. He has published in magazines such as Fahrenheitº Magazine, La Tempestad and Revista Lento (Uruguay). He has been a beneficiary of the Program for the Promotion of Cultural Projects and Co-Investments of the National Fund for Culture and Arts fonca 2017 and of the National Art Education Program 2003 (conaculta / iba / cenart). He was awarded the 1st. place in the xx Navachiste Inter-American Poetry Award 2012.

He has presented visual work in Mexico, Spain (Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona), Denmark (Biennial Metropolys Laboratory), Ireland (National College of Art and Design / Gallery), Japan (Tsubakihara group, Nagoya Artport) and Ecuador (Art Center Contemporary of Quito). Some of his individual exhibitions are: Tlazolli: implements of irregular archeology (El Molino Gallery, Casa Talavera); Geneaology of Lando Micco (Studio Cerrillo Gallery); and Isolines (Radio Education Gallery). He has participated with video in the Habeas Corpus exhibitions. Third Public Art Forum. Siqueiros Public Art Hall; I saw oxygen leveling days. ExTeresa current art; and Eighth International Biennial of Visual Poetry. Cervantino International Festival, among others.
