David Foster Wallace - (New York, 1962; Claremont, California, 2008) is the author of novels such as The System Broom (1987) or The Infinite Prank (1996), from books of stories such as The Girl with the Rare Hair (1986) o Extinction (2004), and of essays like Something supposedly funny that I will not do again (1997) or Let's talk about locusts (2005). The whole of his work is considered one of the most influential and relevant international literature of the late twentieth century.
