David Martín del Campo

He was born in Mexico City on January 21, 1952. Narrator and essayist. He studied journalism and collective communication at UNAM, and cinematography at CUEC. He has practiced journalism in different media (Unomásuno, La Jornada, Reforma). INBA/FONAPAS Scholar, Narrative, 1982. Member of the SNCA in 1994 and 1997. José Rubén Romero National Novel Award 1986 for Isla de lobos. Diana International Novel Award/Novelties 1990 for Alas del ángel. Juan de la Cabada National Children's Story Award 1995 for El hombre del Iztac. IMPAC-Monterrey Award 1996 for The Year of Fire and the Mazatlán Literature Award 2012 for The Seven Wounds of the Sea.
