David Trueba (Madrid, 1969) studied Journalism and soon began working in print, radio, film and television. His first film as a director was La buena vida, which was followed by Obra maestra, Soldados de Salamina, Bienvenido a casa, award for Best Director at the Malaga Festival, the documentary about Fernando Fernán-Gómez La silla de Fernando, Madrid, 1987, Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados and Casi 40. His press articles in different media have been collected in various anthologies. His novels are: Open All Night, Four Friends, Knowing How to Lose, Blitz and Land of Fields.
