Diana del Ángel

Diana del Ángel is a poet, essayist, and human rights advocate. She believes that writing can build community. She has published the poetry books Vasija, Barranca, and Lengua Hierba. As part of her collaboration with the collective El Rostro de Julio, she kept a written record of the case of Julio César Mondragón Fontes, a student at the Raúl Isidro Burgos Teachers' College in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, who was tortured and murdered on the night of September 26, 2014, when 43 of his classmates also disappeared. The result of this collaboration was the book Procesos de la noche (Processes of the Night).
