Douglas Kennedy is an internationally successful writer. His novels and essays have been translated into more than twenty languages and adapted for film. He is often described as the most French of American writers. Perhaps that is why, in 2007, he received the French distinction of knighthood from the Order of Arts and Letters. The Fabulous Adventures of Aurora is his first foray into literature for children and young people. As an author, he likes to captivate readers in such a way that they can't stop reading a novel of his until it's finished, even if that means keeping an eye out all night.
