Dudjom Rimpoché

His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche (Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje, 1904-1987) was recognized at an early age as a reincarnated teacher. He studied and practiced in the best monastic universities in Tibet. After his exile in India, he was appointed by the Dalai Lama as head of the Ñingma school. Since then, he carried the Buddhist teachings to all corners of the globe. In 1980 he founded a teaching and meditation center in the French Dordogne, where he died in 1987.
