Elinor Glyn

Elinor Glyn

Elinor Glyn (also known as Elinor Sutherland, Channel Islands, United Kingdom, October 17, 1864 - Chelsea, United Kingdom, September 23, 1943) was a British novelist and screenwriter who specialized in romantic fiction that was considered scandalous for his time. She popularized the concept of "It". Although her works are relatively monotonous according to modern standards, she had a great influence on the popular culture of the early twentieth century and, perhaps, on the career of notable Hollywood stars such as Rudolph Valentino, Gloria Swanson and Clara Bow in particular.
