Elsa Elia Torres Garza has a degree, master and PhD in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM. She is a full-time Professor B at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the same University. His areas of interest are ontology, political philosophy, education and religion and, predominantly, any relationship of philosophy with the arts. He has specialized in the study of the work of Soren Kierkegaard, on which he has published the book Søren Kierkegaard: the seductive seducer (2008), and numerous articles in refereed journals. He is currently preparing the publication Kierkegaard and the modern drama. From his doctoral research his interest in cinematographic art intensified in a more formal way, and three years ago he began an investigation on the relationship between philosophy and cinema on which he has co-organized three cycles of conferences entitled "Philosophy in a film key".
