Emanuele Coccia (1976) was born in Italy, is a philosopher and professor of École des Hautes in Social Sciences of Paris and the University of Freiburg in Germany. He was a doctorate in medieval philosophy at the University of Florence and dedicated his first studies to the figure of Averroes, about whom he published his first book translated into Spanish, philosophy of imagination. Averroes and Averroism (2007). He deepened the theoretical tour of him in the bond between the theories of the imagination and the nature of living beings, and published the rehearsals sensitive life (2011) and the life of plants. A metaphysics of the mixture (2017).
COCCIA is currently recognized as one of the most original voices of contemporary thought, both by the philosophical approach and by the prose of it.
