He was born in Rome in 1964. He is a novelist, essayist, and literary critic. He regularly collaborates with Il Manifesto and Corriere della Sera. Author of more than a dozen works, in 2012 he was awarded the European Union Literature Prize for Something Written, which has been translated into fifteen languages.
