Frank Zappa - fired more than 70 discs loaded with caustic soda on the heads of all the puppets that, left and right, ravaged the American garden. But his great contribution to the landscape of our time consisted of priming those projectiles with an aesthetic powder that brought together the most diverse influences, from atonality to doo-wop, through Stravinsky, Stockhausen, Mingus or Bob Marley. Both his disobedience and the remarkable extension of his work have made him an irreplaceable piece of contemporary culture and an anomaly for regulatory rock.
