Gabriel Andrade born in Maracaibo (Venezuela) in 1980. He earned a degree in sociology, a master's degree in philosophy and a doctorate in human sciences at the University of Zulia. He teaches at the same university, where he teaches courses in philosophy and sociology. He has written numerous articles on studies of religion from a sociological, historical and philosophical perspective. He is the author of three books: The literary critic Rene Girard (Universidad del Zulia, 2007), Darwinism and religion (University of Cantabria, 2009) and A Brief Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion (University of Cádiz, 2010). He lives in Maracaibo.
